Impressions of an Australian law student for Dr. J.S. Nair

Letter of appreciation for Dr. Jayadevan.S.Nair, Lecturer by Lev Yulin , a student pursuing 4th year law in Australia , for having taught him during his visit here recently.

---

I am currently in Singapore on my way back to Australia.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for our classes together. My visit came during a very busy period on the university calendar and I am most grateful for the time you have taken out of your busy schedule. With your guidance, I have learned many things about the Indian constitution and Indian history. My studies of constitutional law in Australia were more practical-oriented and I most enjoyed being able to discuss the evolution of ideas behind the words of the Indian constitution.

I was very humbled to be taught by you.

Thank you,

Lev.

Shri Ram Jethmalani to teach at Amity Law School, Noida

Shri Ram Jethmalani
Eminent criminal lawyer and parliamentarian Shri Ram Jethmalani highlighted the need for law students and counsels to make special efforts to cultivate the art of cross examination.  Skilful and expert cross examination alone can bring out the truth and correct version in legal proceedings.  He advised students to thoroughly familarise themselves with the provisions of law relating to evidence.

Inaugurating the certificate course on cross examination at Amity Law School, Noida, its Director Maj. Gen. Nilendra Kumar outlined the salient features of the programme, which would train the students in practice of cross examination skill.  Founder Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan announced that shri Jethmalani would be the key speaker and has accepted to be a Professor emeritus.  Dr. Chauhan indicated the desirability for management, engineering and other disciplined students and faculty to also study the questioning technique and interviewing.

Impressions of an Australian student

Impressions of an Australian student who interned with Amity Law School, Noida.

Subject: My Visit

Dear Maj. Gen. Kumar,
I am currently in Singapore on my way back to Australia.
I would like to thank you for the warm hospitality and attention with which I was received at Amity law school.
My visit was most enriching and allowed me to learn about the nuances of Indian law while also enhancing my knowledge of law more broadly. India, with its vibrant but often troubled history, offers a unique perspective on the operation of the law and how the law evolves to meet the needs of a changing nation. I am most grateful for the personal attention that I have received, and I cannot imagine any better way for me to have spent my time at the law school. I definitely have much new knowledge to share with my fellow students in Australia!
Thank you once more for this opportunity,
Sincerely,
Lev Yulin.
