Maj. Gen. Nilendra Kumar - AVSM, VSM. 

Commissioned in the Artillery Maj. Gen. Nilendra Kumar saw action on the western front during 1971 Indo-Pak war. He studied for his law degree in Lucknow University and was seconded to the Judge Advocate General’s Deptt. in 1982. He was Indian Army’s Judge Advocate General from 2001 to 2008. He writes extensively on security jurisprudence and Human Rights and has presented papers at seminars in India and abroad. Authored eleven books out of which “Nani Palkhivala : A Role Model” has been included in the legal classics. He teaches Professional Conduct & Legal Ethics. 


Ms. Amrita Rai 


Ms. Amrita Rai did her M.A. in Anthropology & Sociology and is presently pursuing Ph.D. Her focus is on social anthropology & rural sociology. 










Dr. Jayadevan S. Nair  


Dr. Jayadevan S. Nair, LL.M., Ph.D. His doctoral thesis was on “Performer’s Rights in India with special reference to audio – visual industry.” His specialization areas are constitutional law, IPR and environmental laws. He is a member of Board of Studies, ALS. Of the moot court society Departmental Research Committee and (faculty in charge).







Dr. Shefali Raizada  


Dr. Shefali Raizada, M.A.,B.Ed.,Ph.D.,LL.B.,PGDHRM. Her doctoral research was on “Merger of Sikkim”. She had excelled in her University examinations, securing Gold Medal in M.A. (Western History).Her area of specialization is History. She has a number of publications to her credit.









Dr. Kavita Surbhi  


Dr. Kavita Surbhi, M.A., Ph.D. Her doctoral research was on “The conflict of traditionalism and modernism in the novels of Dr. Narendra Kohli”.She is also pursuing LL.B. Her area of specialization is legal Hindi. She has authored three books and 15 other publications.








Dr. Niru Sharan  


Dr. Niru Sharan, M.A., Ph.D . The topic for Ph.D was “Relevance of Gandhian Political Ideas in Modern Context”. She has been teaching for the last 18 years. Her area of specialization is Political Science. 









Ms. Ekta Gupta  

Ms. Ekta Gupta M.A., LL.M., has 21 publications to her credit. She is also an Editor of “Amity Law Review”. 











Dr. Asha Verma 


Dr. Asha Verma , LL.M., Ph.D. The topic for her doctoral research was “Child Labour in India – A Socio legal Study”. She works on labour laws, laws of contract and transfer of property. 










Mrs. Nidhi Kaushik 

Mrs. Nidhi Kaushik , B.Com, M.Sc (Comp.Sc.) and MCA. Joined ALS with experience as a software engineer at IDDC, Ambala where she handled visual basic projects sales at auto world and pharmaceutical management system. Her specializations are OOPS, DBMS and operating system. 








Ms. Geetanjali Chandra  

Ms. Geetanjali Chandra, LLM is currently pursuing for her LL.D on “Sexual Violence against Working Women”. She possesses a PG diploma in corporate laws and management. She has authored one book on PIL & environmental protection. Her specialization areas are women, industrial and labour laws, environmental & corporate laws. She is presently on deputation with Amity University, Dubai.






Mr. Alok Verma  

Mr. Alok Verma, B.Sc. (Maths), LL.M. He also holds a diploma in Cyber Laws. Prior to joining Amity University, he was working in the LPO sector. His areas of specialization are corporate & criminal laws.









Ms. Chhavi Gupta  

Ms. Chhavi Gupta LL.M. She excelled in all the major University examinations, securing three consecutive Gold Medals in her B.A., LL.B. & LL.M. degrees. Her area of specialization is Business Law. 










Ms. Mahima Bhardwaj  

Ms. Mahima Bhardwaj did her LL.M. from University of Southampton U.K. in International Law. Prior experience includes work as a quality specialist and civil litigation. Her areas of interest are in international trade law, IPR and commercial conflict of laws. 










Ms. Chetna Negi  

Ms. Chetna Negi M.A (Economics). She also possesses MBA in IT apart from a Diploma in computers. Her area of study includes agricultural economics. 










Ms. Neha Srivastava  

Ms. Neha Srivastava, LL.M.(Business laws) had earlier practiced as an advocate. Her area of specialization is business laws. At present she is pursuing Ph.D on the topic “Gender Justice”. 












Mr. Vibhor Gupta  

Mr. Vibhor Gupta, M.Sc (Microbiology), LL.M. (Mercantile Laws). He qualified a course on Patents & Intellectual Property services from IIT Delhi. He has had a practice in criminal law. His areas of specialization are legal English, criminal laws (Evidence, CrPC, IPC) and IPR (Specially Patents). 









Ms. Sheetal Singh  
BSc. LL.M

Ms. Sheetal Singh is BSc. LL.M in Criminal Law, has qualified NET in 2005. She is pursuing her Ph.D in media Laws. Her areas of specialization include Family Law, Property Law and Cyber Laws.She is also the coordinator of Legal Aid Cell which helps the students study the practical law under Clinical Legal Education.








Ms. Vijaishree Pandey  

Ms. Vijaishree Pandey, B.Sc., LL.M. Her area of specialization are IPR & Human Rights. She has experience of working on U.S. Law & Judgments and had been a Legal Researcher & Quality Analyst. 











Ms. Dipanwita Biswas  

Ms. Dipanwita Biswas, B.A., PGDM (HR). Her areas of specialization are Management Foundation, Organizational Behaviors and Human Resource Development.











Mr.Amit Jain

Mr. Amit Jain, B.Com. LL.M. (Mercantile Laws). He has had a practice in criminal laws. His area of specialization are criminal laws and business laws.


Ms. Mokshda Bhushan
LLB[LSE-UK], LLM[Aix-Marseille III,France], Bar-at-Law(Mauritius)

Mokshda Bhushan has completed  her LLB from London School of Economics and Political Science,University of London. After her Masters’ in French Law from Université Paul Cézanne, France, where she specialized in Comparative law and Human Rights, she did her Bar Fi
nals in Mauritius, where she topped in Criminal Law and was awarded the Fernand Boulan Memorial Prize.  She has around 5 years of legal practice as defence and prosecution advocate, and has also held the judicial post of District Magistrate of the District Court of Port-Louis in Mauritius. She also worked as a legal consultant with the Ministry of Women and Child Development in Mauritius where she has trained people from grass-root level in legal literacy and Domestic Violence Laws awareness.  She has further worked as a faculty in law and management in numerous business and legal institutions both
in India and Mauritius since 1996.


She has  completed her PGD in Cyber laws and Indian Corporate laws from Amity Law School, as well as a certification course in Legal Process Outsourcing from Rainmaker Pvt. Ltd. She is currently registered as a research scholar with Goa University. She has presented numerous papers in national and international conferences in the fields of Gender,  Law, French and Business Communication. She is also a French language expert. 

She is presently employed in Amity Law School AUUP, where she is teaching criminology, international law, legal communication and French. Her areas of interest are gender and sexual violence, international laws, cyber laws and crime.


Mr. Annirudha Vashishtha 
Mr Annirudha Vashishtha B.Com.LL.M.,PGDMC,  He has also done a certificate course in IPR. His areas of specialization are business laws and IPR.










Mr. Ashwani Pant 

Mr. Ashwani Pant , B.Com, LL.M. (Business Laws).His areas of specialization are Business Laws and Criminal laws. He had earlier practiced as an Advocate.









Mr. Ajay Kant Chaturvedi 

Mr. Ajay Kant Chaturvedi, B.Sc.,LL.B. (Gold Medalist), LL.M. He was a member of Delhi Judicial Service and worked as a Judge for nearly 24 years. He had also been the Special Officer with the Delhi Legal Services Authority









Ms. Superna Venaik 

Ms. Superna Venaik ,LL.M. (Business Laws). Her areas of specialization include Business Laws and Civil Procedure Code.

Ms. Ritika Behl 

Ritika Behl has completed her Masters’ in Law from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in the year 2010. She completed her L.L.M. with dual specialization in International Law & Human Rights, and Business Laws. She completed her Bachelors’ in Law from School of Law & Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the year 2008. Besides that she holds a Diploma in Business Laws.
She was engrossed in the struggle against violation of Human Rights from the very beginning of her law career. She has been working as a Research Assistant with Prof. Tamara Relis (Ph.D. from Columbia University & LSE); and undertook empirical research work for her book “Perceptions in Litigation and Mediation: Lawyers, Defendants, Plaintiffs and Gendered Parties”.

Besides that she has been deeply engrossed in varied writings on Domestic Violence on women and Abuse of Children.  

Ms. Divya Pandey 

Ms. Divya Pandey, M.Com, M.B.A. (Finance). Her areas of specialization are Economics and Finance. She was earlier associated with the ICICI Direct Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai.









Dr. Meenu Gupta 

Dr. Meenu GuptaB.A. (Honours) and LL.M. (Criminal Laws). She holds Ph. D. on “Crime against Women in India – A Socio-legal Study”. She also practiced as an Advocate. She teaches Criminal Laws.









Dr. Vijendra Singh 

Dr. Vijendra Singh, B.Sc. (Bio.), LL.M. He holds a Ph.D. in History. He excelled in M.A (History) University Examinations, securing Gold Medal. His area of specialization includes Election Laws and History.









Dr. Vikas Gupta 

Dr. Vikas Gupta, LL.M. The topic of his LL.D. thesis is “Power and Functions of the Board to regulate Securities under SEBI: A Critical Analysis” Prior to joining Amity, he was Visiting Professor, in the Institute of Company Secretaries. He had in practiced as an Advocate for about nine years.

Ms. Swati Bijawat, MA, (Sociology) MBA.  She excelled in University examination securing gold medal.











Dr. Ritu Singh 

Dr. Ritu Singh, MA, M.Phil. (English Literature), 3 year PG Diploma in German Language, currently pursuing doctoral research on American playwright Tennessee Williams.  Her area of interest are American Literature and post colonial literature.

Ms. Sumiti Ahuja completed Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Indian Law Institute (I.L.I.), New Delhi after obtaining LL.B. degree from Faculty of Law, Delhi University. Areas of specialization are Criminal Law and Corporate Law. I have worked as Research Assistant on research projects funded by ministries under Govt. of India. I have been teaching subjects like Jurisprudence, Interpretation of Statutes, Intellectual Property Rights and Law of Torts in Amity Law School.

Ms. Palka Rishi did B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from VIPS, and LL.M. from USLLS, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights. I also have a Diploma in Economic, Social and Development Rights and Good Governance from Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal. I have taught Arbitration and ADR system, Constitutional Law II and Property Law.





Ms. Bhavna Batra

Bhavna Batra is a Gold Medalist in LL.B. from Delhi University and Gold Medalist in LL.M. from Jamia Milia Islamia University, and currently pursuing her Ph.D. Has a work experience of more than six years of enriched teaching in different subjects viz, Jurisprudence, Business Laws, Public International Law, Administrative Law, Arbitration and Conciliation, Consumer laws. Before Joining AMITY UNIVERSITY has worked in various capacities like Head of Department, Programme Coordinator and Convenor in NCR LAW INSTITUTES.
