National Seminar on ‘Human Rights of Persons With Disabilities’

Department of Human Rights and Social Development, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati is organizing a National Seminar on ‘Human Rights of Persons With Disabilities’.

People   intending to present papers are invited to submit an abstract not exceeding 500 words on or before 15-12-2011 and full-length paper not exceeding  5000 words on or before 20-12-2011.

Themes:

The National Seminar is being organized under the auspices of UGC to discuss the Rights of Persons with Disabilities with the following themes.

1. Rights and Entitlements of Persons with Disabilities

2. Role of regulatory bodies in protecting Rights of Persons with Disabilities

3. Issues   related  to Grievance  Redressal , Offences and Penalties

4. Role of NGOs and Civil Society in assisting Persons with Disabilities

Who can participate?

NGO s   , Judicial   Officers ,  Teachers , Persons with  disabilities,  Scholars, Students, Lawyers and all those who are engaged in the protection of human rights of the persons with disabilities.

Senate Hall of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.

Registration

Participants are required to register for the seminar by paying Rs.500.00 in the Department of Human Rights and Social Development on or before 20.12.2011 or by sending D.D. in favour of “Head, D e p a r t m e n t   o f   H u m a n   R i g h t s and Social Development.
