Assuring quality in the governance of higher educational institutions (HIEs) in the country is of prime importance. Apex agencies like the UGC and the NAAC have been giving continuous emphasis on this issue for a considerable period of time. The HEIs have been advised to constitute Internal Quality Assurance Cell as a part of the programmes taken up in this regard.
In this context, The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), University of Calcutta and the Calcutta University Officer's Association (CUPA) in collaboration with the West Bengal University Officer's Association (WBUOA) and the All India Federation of University Officers' Association (AIFUOA) are organizing a two day National Level Seminar on 'Role of Governance in Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions' in the month of March 2012 at the University of Calcutta, Senate House, 87/1 College Street, Kolkata-700073.
Interested faculty / staff members may contribute a paper for the said seminar & send the abstracts of the paper (within 500 words) to the organizers by e-mail at iqaccaluniv@yahoo.com. The deadline to submit the extract is February 29, 2012. There will be no registration fee.
