Grand Intra Moot Court Trials
Amity Law School, Noida barely started the new
semester, and already we have students participating in the Grand Intra Trials
for moot courts held today, the 22nd of December,
2015. Teams that perform well will be selected to go to various
inter-university moots over the next couple of months.
The results of the trials are eagerly awaited. In the
meantime, we wish the mooters all the best!

Moot Laurels for ALS, Noida
We are glad to inform that the team of Sanjna Dua,Cheena Saini & Yogesh Hemnani representedAmity Law School, Noida in the 3rd Indraprastha National Moot Court Competition, 2014 & have stood Quarter-Finalist(Sixth) among the various law schools participating from all over India.
The team comprising of Deepabali Datta, Malvika Bhanot & Gaurav Kohli reached the Quarter Finals of Seedling School’s 3rd International Banking and Investment Law Moot Court Competition, 2014.
The team of Meenakshi Prasad, Gayatri Misra & Tushar Mathur participated in 13th Surana and Surana International Technology Moot Court Competition, 2014.
Also, the team of Sitwat Nabi, Pulkit Malhotra & Rohan Sharma participated in the 2nd IMS UNISON Moot Competition, 2014 & stood 20th among 48 teams from around the country.
Heartiest congratulations to the teams for their brilliant efforts.

ALS shines at Henry Dunant Moot, 2014
It is a matter of immense pride for Amity Law School, Noida that the team comprising of Kritika Sharma, Aastha Anu & Upmanyu Tewari have done exceptionally well in the 14th Henry Dunant Moot Court Competition National Rounds, 2014. The team stood 7th out of the 16 top National teams selected from all over India after the Zonal rounds for the final bout. The team missed the top 4 spots by a margin of 2 points, but their impeccable dedication and efforts has brought glory to the whole Amity Family.
Congratulations to the team. We wish U bring more laurels to the college name in the years to come. Cheerioooooo!!!!!!
The team is also requested to share their experiences to improve & work on the missing element for all future moots.

The felicitation ceremony for the competition shall be conducted on 2nd April at 12:00 p.m. in the Moot Court Hall. The prizes for all the winners and participation certificates shall be given out in the ceremony. All the participants have to be present to receive the participation certificates. All the working members of Moot Court Society are also expected to be there and in case of failure to do so must show cause by an email to mcs.alsnoida@gmail.com.
UCC Bill before People's Court of Justice
Amity Law School, Noida is organizing the People's Court of Justice in the Moot Court Hall on 2nd April to challenge the constitutional validity of the Uniform Civil Code, 2014 passed by the Jan Sabha on 19th February. The court will be in session from 1100 hours so students of all batches are required to be seated before it commences. PFA the Matters Listed with the concerned Notifications. FLAWLESS VICTORY in 2nd National Moot Court Competition, MDU Rohtak
A team comprising of Siddhant Tripathi, Predhiman Singh Jadon and Sonakshi Pandey emerged victorious on the top of the mountain of 2nd National Moot Court Competition, MDU Rohtak. The team against all odds beat some of the leading law colleges from all over the country to bag the WINNER'S TROPHY and the BEST MEMORIAL Award.
The winners also shared their experience & some of the suggestions given by the judges:
1. Facts, as given in the problem, are of utmost importance. Stick to them.
2. When applying statutes, familiarize yourself with all provisions, not just those applied.
3. Have a case law ready for every point in the argument.
Carpe diem my friends......Seize the day. You have made all ALSites proud!!!!

Victory in Rakesh Aggarwal Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2014
The team comprising of Lakshay Khanna, Jayavardhan Singh & Priyan Garg have stood RUNNERS UP out of top 36 teams from prestigious colleges all over India in Rakesh Aggarwal Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2014. The final bout was close and both sides displayed an extraordinary amount of poise and confidence. The team showed a great deal of skill that inspired all of those present & was deeply appreciated by the judges for the extensive research done by the team on the problem.
Lakshay Khanna also bagged the BEST ADVOCATE Award.

LEX CONTRACTUS Quarter Final Results, 2014
The Moot Court Society organized the annual edition of 'Lex Contractus Intra Moot Court Competition,2014' on 24th March. The In-house Moot Competition which was especially designed for all first years and first timers from rest of the semester saw a participation from 14 teams. The Moot proposition was based on the issues of Law of Contracts.
The Preliminary & Quarter Final Rounds were held today where the teams battled it out to qualify for the Top 4 prestige spots. The following teams have QUALIFIED for the Semi-Final rounds to be held on 27th March(Thursday):

3. Team A6
4. Team B9
A Researcher's Test was held before the Oral rounds to select the Top 8 researcher's who would compete to win the 'Best Researcher' award.

Commendable Performance by First timers
A team comprising of Jaya Dua, Shubhangi Mishra & Sahil Modi reached the Quarter Finals representing the college in the 1st NUALS National Moot Court Competition on Maritime Law, 2014.
A team comprising of Bharat Bagga, Anuja Arora & Kartik Rai reached the Quarter Finals representing the college in the 9th GLC Trivandrum Moot Competition, 2014.
We congratulate them on their efforts & wish them success for all future endeavours.
They also shared their experience and the reviews given by the judges for the teams participating in different moot competitions:

Lex Contractus, 2014
It is our pleasure to inform all students that we are back with our annual edition of 'Lex Contractus Intra Moot Court Competition' which has been scheduled to be held from March 24th to 25th, 2014.
This in house Moot Court Competition has been especially designed for all first years (irrespective of whether they have participated in external moots) and first timers from rest of the semester, i.e., 4th to 8th semester (only those who have never participated in moot courts outside the college). The same will stand as an eligibility criteria for this Moot.The competition shall be conducted on the basis of team evaluation, the details regarding which have been specified in Clause 2 of the Rules. Each team will be required to submit their memorandums/ written submissions prior to their oral arguments before the Moot Court. A copy of sample memorandums shall be mailed to all the participants for reference.
Interested teams are required to intimate via email to mcs.alsnoida@gmail.com latest by midnight on Friday 21st March, 2014. The details of team composition, Name, Semester, Contact number, Position, i.e., speaker or researcher must be specified.
Kindly note that orientations and workshops shall be organised by the Moot Court Society from Thursday onwards depending upon the strength of prospective participants for the purpose of detailed explanation of moot problem, marshalling of facts, understanding of the issues involved, and reference for relevant material. The most probable session shall be conducted on Thursday.
