Notice for New Courses

A few significant changes have been introduced that impact the students as indicated below. These come into effect with the forthcoming academic session starting in July, 2014.

Students would need to exercise option to select any two of the three courses below for the semesters concerned.

9^th Semester

a) Intellectual Property Law

b) Telecommunication Laws

c) Law, Poverty & Development

7^th Semester

a) Legislative Drafting

b) Women & Criminal Law

c) Interpretation of Statutes

In addition to the above, the students of Sixth semester and Above would need to select any one of the two baskets given below in which they would be taught the subjects semester-wise contained in that basket.

a) Business Law

b) Intellectual Property Law

The students can now change their foreign language, if they so want, and select any of the following each year. These are of one credit each per semester. Those who wish to continue with the same foreign languages may do so. 

1. French      )

2. German     )        Five Year

3. Hindi         )

Next, the students would have to opt for one of the two open electives of one credit each.

b)   Cultural

UTKARSH DAY, 2014

UTKARSH DAY, 2014 was celebrated in memory of our beloved Utkarsh Srivastva, a Great Sportsman & Youth Icon of ALS, Noida on 8th March. A Cricket and Kabbadi match was held between 'ALS Past' and 'ALS Present'. Director Sir, Faculty Members, Alumni's and Present Students gathered in large numbers to play and witness the games. Vagmita Di also graced the occasion with her presence. 

The battle of "Willow & Ball" was won by ALS Present giving a target of 123 runs in 10 overs and triumphing over ALS Past. The Kabbadi match was a show of mighty strength where in a close competition the Present members snatched the trophy from the Past players.
The games was followed by a Cultural Event where everyone tapped their feet to the crazy songs loved by our UTK & a specially produced video on him touched the hearts of all present. 

The following Awards were won for Individual performances:
Best Batsman - Uday Sharma (ALS Present) 35 runs in 11 balls. 
Best Bowler - Sameer (ALS Past) 2 overs-8 runs-2 wickets. 

Best Fielder - Sourav Singh (ALS Present-Wicket Keeper)

Best Holder - Ishan Baghel (ALS Past)

Best Raider - Navdeep Choudhary (ALS Present)

We thank our Director Maj Gen Nilendra Kumar without whom this event would not have been possible. His guidance & support throughout this event made it a success. We hope to make it a great success the next and the coming year. Cheeeeeers.

Utkarsh Day, 2014

Let us remember our beloved Utkarsh Bhaiya by playing the games he cherished the most. Amity Law School, Noida will be holding a Cricket Match & Kabbadi between a team of "ALS Past" and "ALS Present" on Saturday, 8th March, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. 

The games will be followed by a Cultural Event and Lunch for all the ALS family.

Amity Polo Cup, 2014

Gaurav Kant of Second semester, B.A. LL.B(h) has won the RUNNERS UP prize in Amity Polo Cup, 2014 in association with Gaur Ltd and Axis bank. We congratulate him for this feat and may he bring more laurels for the college. All the best.

ALS v SILF, Cricket Friendly Match

An entertaining cricket match was organized between Amity Law School, Noida and Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF). The SILF team had players from top law firms like AZB, Amarchand, Luthra, JSA, Singh & Associates, Khaitan & Sood, H & S , SS Rana etc. 

Mr Lalit Bhasin, President of SILF was the chief guest for the event. Playing first, The visitors scored 182 in twenty overs. In a nail biting finish, the ALS team won by five wickets with four balls to spare. The fielders of both the teams did a commendable job.

Sunny Sharma of SILF won the Best Batsman award having scored 68 with nine fours and three sixes. The Best Bowler award went to Pranav Proothi and Rishabh Soni was declared the Best Fielder, both from ALS.
