1.  The Law School, University of Jammu together with Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny is to organising an Intern-University Debate on 27th February 2013.  The topic of the debate is “In the opinion of the house, Social Networking Sites Are Sine qua non of Information And Social Cohesion”.

     The event is for team two participants each.  Last date of registration is 7th February 2013.

2.  An International Conference on International Environmental Law, Trade Law, Information Technology Law and Legal Education.  The organizers are Faculty of Law, BHU, Varanasi.  For further details, contact the Director’s office.  The dates are March 2-3, 2013

3.  Three Days National Seminar on Education, Law, Management and IT will be held on January 22nd to 24th at IIMT & School of Law, Delhi 110092.  Those interested may seek further details from the office.      


"International Seminar on Institutional Arbitration & Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Techniques" on 31st January, 2013 at New Delhi.


With a view to provide a focus on the emerging trends in International Arbitration, the CIAC under the patronage of CIDC will be organizing a “International Seminar on Institutional Arbitration & Online Dispute Resolution Techniques” on  31st January, 2013 at New Delhi. The event is supported by UNCITRAL & other International and National bodies.

The Seminar aims to explore the embedded opportunities and emerging trends in ODR & Institutional Arbitration and map the challenges ahead for drafting a legal framework for the PPPs in the Infrastructure and Construction Sector.  The participants mix includes Industry Captains, Arbitrators, Lawyers, Central/ State Government officers, Senior officers from the Private Sector etc.

1st National Moot Court Competition at GGS IP University

A team from ALS Noida comprising of Manan Popli, Abhinav Mishra and Moha Srivastava represented the college at the Rakesh Aggarwal Memorial 1st National Moot Court Competition at GGS IP University. The team was ranked 3rd among the top law schools of the country. Abhinav Mishra was also adjudged as the best student advocate and was awarded Rs 1100/- with a trophy. The participants included NLU Orissa, Faculty of Law Jamia, Symbiosis Law School Noida, Pune ITM law college Gurgaon, etc.

BE A LEGAL ENTREPRENEUR 


Through the Legal Entrepreneurship Clinic, we aim to uncover several business dimensions by encouraging students to be innovative and form their initial blueprints and business plans which will be incubated and nurtured through this Clinic in such a way as to lay the initial foundation to a possible business venture. 

We aim to fortify the young law students to cultivate novel ideas and thoughts, foster their development by providing assistance on how they can proceed while keeping in mind significant factors like resource and risk management. 

We intend to conduct sessions on how business ideas can be developed, how can they take shape, on how manage resources, how to calculate risk factors and how opportunities can be tapped. We also will be looking to invite young entrepreneurs who have shown that entrepreneurs do not only exist in the field of management, but the arena of law also equal potential of showing entrepreneurial skills and innovation. 

The objective is to integrate the two fields of business and management in such a way that students are able to transform themselves into being Legal Managers. 


A MEETING IS SCHEDULED TO BE HELD FOR THE INAUGURATION AND INTRODUCTION TO THE LEGAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLINIC ON MONDAY 21st JANUARY 2013. INTERESTED STUDENTS ARE REQUESTED TO ASSEMBLE IN ROOM NO. 101 at 2pm.

Seminar focusing on ‘Technology to enable Accessible and Speedy Justice’

CII is organizing a Seminar focusing on 'Technology to enable Accessible and Speedy Justice' on Saturday 12th January 2013 at 1130 hrs at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Tanisha Jahangir Munir was awarded the Best Delegate Award at the Tech Fest International MUN organised by IIT Bombay.

56th National Shooting Championship, 2012

Tanisha Jahangir Munir participated in the 56th National Shooting Championship, 2012 held at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, New Delhi, from 19th to 30th December, 2012, wherein she scored 365/400 and was ranked 83rd all India among junior women.
