Upcoming Essay Competitions

This is to inform about the 1st ONGC – GNLU International Essay Competition on International Contracts on the theme “Recent Trends in International Contract, Jurisdictional Issues and the Global Commercial and Investment Governance”. This competition attempts to provide a platform for the law students for expressing their views on various aspects of International Contract and recent developments taking place across the globe in international transactions. The sub-themes / topics of the competition ensure to provide global relevance and encourage the participants to analyze and convey their thoughts and probable solutions on the topics.


CUTS Institute for Regulation & Competition (CIRC) as an institute and research organisation, has been actively contributing towards enhancing knowledge on competition and regulatory issues in the developing world. It is therefore with great pride we announce the First National Level Essay Competition on two themes:

  1. Competition Law & Policy and
  2. Economic Regulations in India.

We have partnered with Society for Indian Law Firms (SILF) and Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) as Principal Partners and with National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) as Institutional Partner.  Lex Witness is our official magazine partner for this competition.

We formally invite applications for the same from your institution and request you to kindly place the accompanying poster (attached) appropriately on your notice board and disseminate the information among the students. We wish to receive as many applications from your institution and hope that they may win coveted accompanying awards. The last date of submission of the Essay’s is 15th March,2014.
